Busy, part 2

Bradie tossed her cookies from about 1 am last night to 7 am this morning.  Poor little!  She even has little broken blood vessels on her face!  Today she took at FOUR hour nap and woke with a 102 degree temperature.  Mothers of Snohomish county beware!  The only plus is that she's really snuggly when she's like this.  And easily entertained.  Here she is watching Dirty Jobs with daddy.

Busy

We have been busy.  Busy being blessed at baby showers.  Busy eating delicious white chocolate raspberry torts at showers.  Busy hanging shelves and nesting in general.  Marcus has been researching ways to cool our home this summer- see, men DO nest!

I finally got to meet Avery!  What a blessing that was!  Tiff, Ludy and Miss Avery came all the way up to attend my shower.  She is really cuter than her pictures and one of the most feminine little babies ever...tiny, girly features.  She fell asleep twice on my mom, which is so comforting to me, that my mom's still got that baby Midas touch that will be so helpful to me that first week.

My belly showboating pic is at approximately 35 weeks...for those who care about those sort of facts.  I actually just started to really jut out this last week and a half or so.  I've been carrying this boy much smaller than I did Bradie, which has been ironic and delightful.  I think the second time around your organs and whatnot just know to get the heck out of the way! And on Thursday I have the big appointment with the doctor!  She'll check to see if there's any, uh, progress???  Then my appointments become WEEKLY!  This is all happening very fast.

Here's Bradie and her buddy Kyle at the zoo.  They are about a year and a some change apart, if you are curious.
Holman shelves hung tonight!  Now we must dig our photos out of the box they moved in and decide who makes the cut.

Hair by Christy

Since we moved to Lake Stevens, our friend Christy has been insisting on Marcus and I having a "babymoon".  So last Thursday, which was Marcus' birthday, we took her up on her offer and dropped Bradie off for the night!  And I am sure it took Christy all but about five minutes before she had her hands on Bradie's little head.  I guess I've been blowing it by asking Bradie if she wants ponytails...instead, as I learned from Christy, hair is now on the list of "Now its time to..."  :)  I was making it an option and of course she would say no.

Who knew my daughter with crazy Frodo hair had such a cute face!*

Our time away was fun for a few hours.  I had one of the best restaurant burgers I'd ever had at Bobs only to rid my body of it approximately six hours later!!! :(  I was so miserable I thought I was going into labor for half the night!  Oh well at least I didn't have to worry about waking Bradie up.

The next morning Christy and I took the kids to zoo and they had a fabulous time.  Uncoaxed, Bradie began telling the details of the day to her daddy at dinner that night. All about the lion roaring and the elephant taking a shower and the gorilla that was scratching his back. She says and does the funniest thing right now, I kinda wish I could freeze time.  Just today she was "fixing" my ears with the medicine that is apparently found in Lego blocks? All while talking this quiet, half-gibberish in the same tone as mommy does as I explain the day or when we change diapers. I burst out laughing and so did she... she thinks she's pretty funny!

*well, I did, actually :)

Right now I would like some peanut butter brownies and grape soda.  I would also like a big glass of wine.

I should be finishing the curtains for Bradie's room, but I am contemplating turning on Oprah and hearing fascinating things about poop from Dr. Oz.

ahhhh....procrastination!

Oh we painted Bradie's room!  Please go to Marcus' Weblog to see the pictures

More Christmas

Yes, that is me, fresh into the 8th month of pregnancy, making a snow angel for Bradie to see.  I am such a good sport!  Little did I know, my cell phone fell out of my pocket in this picture and remained in the snow for over 12 hours.  Thanks to Papa Dave for finding it!

Actually it wasn't that bad :) Just some editing on my part.  The first picture just kills me. Bradie loves the snow, but its a very intense, stimulating event to play in it.  The real reason she's crying here is because a teaspoon of snow got on her cheek.  Watch for more pictures.
